How to Get Apple TV
If you have not had an Apple TV already but want to have one, follow the steps below to see how you can an Apple TV:
- Step 1: Open the Apple TV app. If prompted, redeem your Apple TV+ promotion.
- Step 2: Make sure you’re eligible if you can’t redeem the promotion.
- Step 3: Select the “Apple TV+ Originals” tab.
- Step 4: Choose “Sign In and Start Free Trial” or look for “Get Apple TV+” or “Start Free Trial.”
- Step 5: Sign in with your Apple ID and password. If you don’t have one, select “Create New Apple ID” and follow the steps.
- Step 6: If required, confirm your billing info and add a valid payment method. Then, click “Confirm” and agree to the terms and conditions if prompted.
How to Create an Apple ID – Simple Steps:
To log into your Apple TV, you will need an Apple ID. Follow the steps in this section to create Apple TV ID on different devices:
Create an Apple ID on your iPhone or iPad:
- When setting up your device, tap “Forgot password or don’t have an Apple ID?”
- Tap “Create a Free Apple ID.”
- Provide your birthday and name, then tap “Next.”
- Choose to use your current email or get a free iCloud email.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to verify your email, set a strong password, select your device region, and set up two-factor authentication (or you can do this later in Settings if you skip it).
Create your Apple ID using the App Store on your device:
- Open the App Store and tap your Account button.
- Select “Create New Apple ID” (sign out of iCloud if needed).
- Provide an email, create a strong password, and set your device region.
- Add your payment method and billing info (you can choose “None”).
- Confirm your phone number for security and tap “Next.”
- Check your email for Apple’s verification message and verify your email.
Create your Apple ID on a Windows PC:
- Open iTunes for Windows (make sure it’s up to date).
- From the menu bar, select “Account” > “Sign in,” then click “Create New Apple ID.”
- Provide an email, create a strong password, and set your device region.
- Add your payment method and billing info (you can choose “None”).
- Check your email for Apple’s verification message and verify your email.
After verifying your email, you can use your Apple ID for the iTunes Store, App Store, and other Apple services, like iCloud.
Creating Your Apple ID on the Web:
- Step 1: Visit appleid.apple.com and click on “Create Your Apple ID.”
- Step 2: Follow the onscreen instructions to provide an email address, create a strong password, and set your device region. The email address you provide will become your new Apple ID.
- Step 3: Enter a phone number that you will always have access to.
- Step 4: Optionally, tick the boxes to subscribe to Apple Updates if you want to receive the latest news, software updates, products, and services from Apple.
- Step 5: Click “Continue.”
- Step 6: Follow the onscreen instructions to verify your email address and phone number.
How to Log into your Apple TV

Sign In:
- Open the Apple TV app on your Mac.
- From the menu, select “Account” > “Sign In.”
Reset Apple ID:
- If you forgot your Apple ID or password, click “Forgot Apple ID or Password?”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your Apple ID or password.
Sign Out:
- When you’re done using the store, it’s a good idea to sign out to prevent unauthorized purchases.
- Go to “Account” > “Sign Out” within the Apple TV app on your Mac.
