Step 1: Purchase Your Starsat Decoder
- Begin by buying your Starsat decoder from a reputable source.
Step 2: Registration via SMS
- Register for Starsat services by either calling the Starsat new number at 0115829988 or sending an SMS with your South African ID number to 40004.
- A Call Center agent will return your call within 72 hours to complete the registration process.
- Have your StarSat decoder Smart Card number, SA ID number, and banking details ready during registration.
Step 3: Starsat Installation
- For a seamless installation, it’s recommended to use accredited Starsat installers.
- These installers have the expertise to position the dish for the best signal and frequency.
- A standard Starsat installation typically takes about 60 minutes and is performed by our technicians.
Step 4: Starsat Activation
- Once your Starsat installation is complete, SMS 40008 or call the Call Center at 011 5829988 to activate your subscription.
- When contacting the Call Center, inform them that your installation was done by Lubsat to expedite the process.
Step 5: Payment
- Make your initial payment within 24 hours from activation to ensure uninterrupted viewing.
- Use your financial account number as a reference when making the payment for a smooth and accurate reconciliation.

How to Sign up/Log in to the StarSat Account
Step 1: Search for StarTimes ON in your favorite app store.
Step 2: Tap “Install” to download and install the app.
Step 3: Once the app is installed, tap the “Open” button to launch it.
Step 4: Tap the “Me” button within the app.
Step 5: Tap “SIGN IN” to log in to your StarTimes account.
Step 6: Sign in using any of the available methods on the screen.
Step 7: After logging in, tap the “StarTimes Decoder Service” button.
Step 8: Tap the golden button to link your decoder.
Step 9: Enter your Smart Card ID and the last 6 digits of your decoder’s serial number (located on the bottom of your decoder).
Step 10: Tap the “LINK” button to complete the linking process.
Step 11: Choose the duration for your payment.
Step 12: Tap the “RECHARGE” button.
Step 13: Select your preferred payment portal.
Step 14: Enter your card details for payment.
Step 15: Check the checkbox to save your card information for future use (optional).
Step 16: Tap the “PAY NOW” button to complete the payment.
Step 17: Wait for the app to redirect. If it doesn’t redirect, tap “OK.”
